Air Conditioning
Working as part of a major refurbishment at Britvic Soft Drinks Head Office we adapted the existing air conditioning to match the new lay out and installed new units where required. The office was occupied during the refurbishment therefore it was necessary to ensure that work was conducted out of hours and in a sympathetic manner to meet both tight deadlines for the business and cause no disruption

We fitted a range of units to meet the unusual requirements of these Victorian buildings. To the three storey building we fitted 2 large external units that provide heating and cooling to the building via 9 discreet indoor ceiling units. Each indoor unit having the ability to be seperately controlled or even controlled remotely via an internet connection to allow full flexibility over heating and cooling. The rest of the buildings were fitted with a variety of floor, wall and ceiling mounted units to allow for optimal heating and cooling to each space.

We fitted a single Hitachi VRF unit that controlls 11 indoor cassette units. Due to security issues the main unit had to be fitted within the warehouse itself. This meant that we had to design and build a ducting system to take the dicharged air outside and a grill system fitted with filters to bring in fresh air for the unit.

Prolog Sulby House
We fitted a Panasonic VRF unit with 8 indoor units comprising of 4 cassettes and 4 wall mounts. The units were all fitted on the second floor and in 4 different offices. All pipework was fitted below the suspended ceiling using galvanised tray and threaded stud.

We fitted the latest Mitsubishi VRF outdoor units that provide not only heating and cooling but also provide hot water and underfloor heating. Making them extremely environmentally efficient and during the summer months the discharged heat from the cooling is used to heat the hot water resulting in a precentage of free hot water during this period.

We have fitted Panasonic ceiling cassettes and wall mounted units in the second floor offices and server room. The outdoor units were fitted on the paving slabs outside on the second floor walk way. We fitted the units here for easier maintenance and shorter pipe runs allowing better efficiency for the units. The units are spaced outside to be hidden from view and not visible through any windows.

We have fitted Panasonic ceiling cassettes and wall mounted units in this cash and carry to heat and cool the upstairs offices. The cassettes are compact type units, fitting into the 600mm ceiling tile space. The outdoor units are bolted through the steel skin of the building at four metres high to allow access down the side foot path.

We installed 4 Fujitsu compact cassettes and 1 wall mounted unit in these new build offices where we had to suspend the unistrut frame work from steel purlins using threaded stud. Some of the units have to be suspended by nearly 3 metres to the suspended ceiling height.

The school has a huge problem with heat loads generated from students, computers and the sky lights fitted in the old roof. There are 14 Fujitsu wall mounted and cassette units fitted here and all outdoor units fitted in the roof on concrete slabs as there are extremely high winds in the area.

Fitted 25 units in total. There are 4 Fujitsu 15 kw ducted units giving climate control to two aisles in the warehouse. They are suspended 6 meters high with moveable grills fitted on them.
There are Fujitsu cassettes suspended 3 meters high providing climate control in the fruit and nut plant. We have fitted wall mounted units in the offices and ducted units in the production factory. Lastly, we have fitted a sub zero chiller unit complete with two fans to blast chill the products. The production and warehouse has to be kept to 22 degrees to keep all the chocolate products from melting, The warehouse was particulary difficult to keep cool as there are roof lights and the roof is made of very thin asbestos allowing all the heat into the building in the summer. Our air conditioning keeps the warehouse at a constant 22 degrees and we have advised the customer that painting the skylights with a reflective paint will save them a great deal on there electricity consumption.

Hadleigh Maid
We have installed 5 Fujitsu wall mounted units in this chocolate factory and 1 compact cassette. The units provide climate control and to keep the moisture levels in the air to a minimum. The relative hummidity in the production and packing area needs to be kept at a certain level or the chocolate will become white and cannot be sold.

Dental Directory
Here are some of the many units fitted at this building. We installed a combination of wall mounted cassette and under ceiling indoor units. These units have been used in all offices as the heating as well as cooling.

Stanstead Hall
We have fitted a Fujitsu mini VRF J series unit with just 2 pipes running to the loft where 4 ducted units will heat and cool 4 bedrooms upstairs and will all have their own controllers. We have also fitted two long LG artcool mirror units, one square artcool unit and two floor standing LG units which will be fitted in cupboard 2 meters high with an opening for the air vents. The cottages have been fitted with ten LG Artcool Gallery Kiss units and these are wall mounted square units with a glass frame, allowing you to fit a picture of your choice making the small unit very descreet in any room.

Conservatories
Floor mounted units are the best units for conservatories as we are normally limited for space on high walls therefore showing the pipework if the high wall is not an external wall. As most walls are dwarf walls, these floor mounted units are perfect for this type of install. We fit these floor mounted units allowing us to heat and cool the conservatory. Conservatories suffer with extreme temperature problems making them very cold in the winter and very hot in the summer. The air conditioning unit eliminates the need for extending your radiator system into the room under the screeded floor. The plumbing may be expensive for this and in the summer, radiators do not produce cool air.
